Volleyball Recap: North Gaston Takes a Loss

North Gaston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the West Lincoln Rebels, falling 3-0.

Leading West Lincoln to victory were Gabrielle Wright and Shayleigh Truesdale. Wright had 13 assists and eight digs, while Truesdale had four digs and four assists.

North Gaston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for West Lincoln, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, North Gaston will head out on the road to square off against Lincolnton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Lincoln, they will host Cherryville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Rebels' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
