Basketball Preview: Victor Pirates vs. Valley Christian Eagles
The Victor Pirates and the Valley Christian Eagles will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Victor and four for the Eagles.
Last Saturday, Victor took a serious blow against the Lynx, falling 69-22. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Victor in their matchups with the Lynx: they've now lost three in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Nicole Bugli, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Valley Christian was beaten by the Trojans 48-8 on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Valley Christian has scored all season.
Victor dropped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
