Basketball Recap: Michael Rafailov and Solly Bielsky Secure Win for Denver Jewish Day

Denver Jewish Day won the last time they faced Front Range Christian and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Denver Jewish Day Tigers walked away with a 54-45 win over the Front Range Christian Falcons.

Leading Denver Jewish Day to victory were Solly Bielsky and Michael Rafailov. Bielsky went 8 for 20 en route to 28 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals, while Rafailov dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Rafailov a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronen Trujillo, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Denver Jewish Day was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Front Range Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Haedan Morton, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Zach Woo was another key player, putting up 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Front Range Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Denver Jewish Day didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-42 win against Mile High Academy on the 16th. Front Range Christian has also already played their next matchup, a 78-53 defeat against Lyons on the 17th.
