Softball Recap: Donna Takes a Loss

Donna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Weslaco East Wildcats, falling 14-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 back in March.

Donna's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17-1. As for Weslaco East, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Looking ahead, Donna will challenge Harlingen South at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so the Redskins' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Weslaco East, they will face off against Porter at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cowboys will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
