Basketball Recap: Mundelein's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Mundelein won the last time they faced Libertyville and things went their way on Friday too. The Mundelein Mustangs secured a 50-45 W over the Libertyville Wildcats. The win was all the more spectacular given the Mustangs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Wildcats are ranked 127th).

With the victory, Mundelein broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-15. As for Libertyville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.

Mundelein will head out to take on Warren Township at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Libertyville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wheaton North at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
