Volleyball Recap: Carroll Takes a Loss

Carroll lost against Tri-County last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Cavaliers. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 25-13.

Eliza Rinehart paced Carroll's offense, picking up three kills. Rinehart got some help from Mady Isley and her six assists. Isley also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kinleigh Randle, each putting up two.

Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Tri-County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Carroll wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Taylor on the 7th. As for Tri-County, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against North Newton on the 2nd.
