Softball Game Preview: Fox Creek Predators vs. Keenan Raiders

Fox Creek has gone a perfect 3-0 against Keenan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Fox Creek will look to defend their home field against Keenan at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fox Creek has four straight victories, Keenan has 12 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Monday, Fox Creek got the win against Augusta Christian by a conclusive 11-5. The Predators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

Jordyn Grant was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jasmine Grant was a standout: she scored three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Hannah Andrews was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Keenan came up short against Silver Bluff on Tuesday, falling 18-1.

Fox Creek pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Keenan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Fox Creek took their win against Keenan in their previous matchup back in March of 2018 by a conclusive 21-0. Does Fox Creek have another victory up their sleeve, or will Keenan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
