Basketball Recap: Eastmoor Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Eastmoor Academy can now relate to. They lost 49-28 to the Buckeye Valley Barons on Tuesday. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.

Ella Hazelrigg was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds for Buckeye Valley. Hazelrigg is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Avelina Wagner, who posted two points along with 11 assists, six boards, and four steals.

Eastmoor Academy now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Buckeye Valley, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-2.

Eastmoor Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Buckeye Valley, they will square off against London at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Buckeye Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season.
