Baseball Game Preview: Reavis Rams vs. Shepard Astros

For the second straight game, Reavis will face off against Shepard. The Rams will be playing at home against the Astros at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Reavis is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

While Reavis' victory against Shepard wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams skirted past the Astros 8-7. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Astros recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Robert Soto was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Tino Villagomez was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had over his last nine games. Jonathan Liesen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Shepard moved to 10-9-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Reavis, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.
