Soccer Game Preview: Cottonwood vs. Park City

The Cottonwood Colts will head out to take on the Park City Miners at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cottonwood is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Cottonwood is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Stansbury on Friday. Cottonwood fell just short of Stansbury by a score of 2-1. Cottonwood fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Stansbury since on Friday.

Meanwhile, Park City's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Tooele, sneaking past 2-1.

Cottonwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Park City, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Cottonwood beat Park City by a goal in their previous matchup last Wednesday, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cottonwood since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
