Soccer Game Preview: Raymondville vs. Rio Hondo

The Raymondville Bearkats will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the Rio Hondo Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Raymondville managed to keep up with La Feria until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Raymondville might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting La Feria an easy 5-1 win. The loss continues a trend for the Bearkats in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Rio Hondo fell victim to Grulla and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Gators by a score of 1-0.

Rio Hondo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Raymondville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Raymondville's way against Rio Hondo when the teams last played back in January, as Raymondville made off with a 6-2 victory. Will Raymondville repeat their success, or does Rio Hondo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
