Baseball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wahlert Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 on Monday.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Wahlert, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-2.

Coming up, Liberty is taking a road trip to challenge Ottumwa at 5:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Wahlert, they will take on Bettendorf at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
