Baseball Recap: West Elk Takes a Loss

West Elk lost against Erie on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Patriots fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 4-2. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Elk's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-3. As for Erie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-10-1.

Coming up, West Elk is taking a road trip to face off against Oxford at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Erie, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Neodesha at 4:30 p.m. The last three games the Blue Streaks have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
