Basketball Recap: Jayden Lusk's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Delhi over Jennings

Delhi was the 54-33 winner over Jennings when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Delhi Bears took a 65-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jennings Bulldogs on Saturday.

Delhi lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jayden Lusk, who posted ten points and five steals. Those ten points gave Lusk a new career-high. Jimmy Spruill was another key player, putting up 12 points and eight rebounds.

Delhi has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Jennings, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Delhi will take on Delhi Charter in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Delhi is facing Delhi Charter at the right time seeing as Delhi Charter is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Jennings, they are taking a road trip to take on Opelousas at 6:00 p.m. on December 30th.
