Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Catelynn Conrad and Abigail May Lead St. James Academy to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hayden, St. James Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Leavenworth PIONEERS. The Thunder haven't had any issues with the PIONEERS recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: St. James Academy took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15.

St. James Academy was led to victory by Abigail May and Catelynn Conrad. May had six digs and two aces, while Conrad had four digs and one assist. What's more, May posted three assists, the most she's had over her last seven matchups. Finley Tauscher also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

St. James Academy's victory bumped their record up to 25-10. As for Leavenworth, they moved to 14-25 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

St. James Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Pittsburg on the 25th. Leavenworth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
