Volleyball Recap: Lapel Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Lapel came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Knightstown Panthers 3-0. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Lapel not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Knightstown between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-17.

Ella Reed paced Lapel's offense, picking up 11 kills. Reed got some help from Mckenna Kobli and her 20 assists. Krosley Riggs controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Lapel's victory bumped their record up to 23-8. As for Knightstown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Lapel and Taylor will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 8:00 p.m. on the 16th. Knightstown has already played their next matchup (against Eastern Hancock), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
