            Softball Recap: St. Ursula Academy Bulldogs vs. Little Miami Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            With a playoff win on the line, St. Ursula Academy rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Little Miami Panthers  6-5. Six seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the  team scooped up a  victory with the same number of  runs in their previous game.

 O Basil spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  V Oberkorn, who  went 2-for-5 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  J Booth, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI.
St. Ursula Academy has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Little Miami, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.
As of now, neither St. Ursula Academy nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
