Football Game Preview: Columbus Cougars vs. Broadwater Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Columbus Cougars will face off against the Broadwater Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Columbus will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points last Friday, then bounced right back against Sweet Grass County on Friday. The Cougars claimed a resounding 48-7 victory over the Sheepherders. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-0.

Colter Chamberlin went supernova, rushing for 50 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 136 yards and one TD on only ten passes. Kyle Gravelle was another key player, picking up 94 receiving yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Columbus was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 224 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Broadwater). They blew past Whitehall/Harrison/Willow Creek 56-15 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Broadwater's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Columbus, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3.
