Baseball Game Preview: Miller Buccaneers vs. Ray Texans

For the second straight game, Miller will face off against Ray. The Buccaneers will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Texans at 8:00 p.m. Miller has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with seven straight defeats, while Ray will come in with ten straight wins.

Miller came up short against Ray on Monday, falling 19-1. That's two games in a row now that the Buccaneers have lost by exactly 18 runs.

For Ray's part, Carlos Luna looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Luna has posted since back in February.

At the plate, OJ Ruiz was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. George Batchelor was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Ray hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matchups.

Ray's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Miller, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.
