Basketball Recap: Overland Christian Takes a Loss

Overland Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 44-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clinton Christian Academy Patriots. If the Eagle were looking for revenge after losing 57-31 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Clara Hyke was her usual excellent self, going 8 for 18 en route to 17 points and six rebounds for Clinton Christian Academy. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Vaughn, who posted seven points and five boards.

Overland Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Clinton Christian Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Overland Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Christian Learning Center at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Clinton Christian Academy has already played their next match (against Heartland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
