Venture Academy extended their home winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Aiden Thomas. The Venture Academy Mustangs claimed a resounding 65-30 win over the River Islands Riptide thanks in part to Thomas, who went 7 for 8 to rack up 17 points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Akuva, who posted six points and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Despite the defeat, River Islands saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Darius Radoc Factoran earned seven points.

Venture Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39.2 points. As for River Islands, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.

Venture Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 84-30 victory against Ben Holt College Prep Academy on the 6th. As for River Islands, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-47 win against Millennium on the 7th.
