Baseball Recap: Northwest Christian Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Northwest Christian hadn't done well against Ocosta recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wolverines walked away with a 13-8 victory over the Wildcats. That's two games straight that the Wolverines have won by exactly five runs.

Jack Vahey was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jadon Dillingham, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Northwest Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

Northwest Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Ocosta, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Northwest Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ocosta, they will host Oakville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Acorns have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
