Basketball Recap: St. Joseph-Ogden Comes Up Short

St. Joseph-Ogden was the 46-33 winner over Monticello when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans took a 34-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monticello Sages on Thursday.

It was another big night for Megan Allen, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 13 points and eight boards for Monticello. Allen is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

St. Joseph-Ogden's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Monticello, they pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

St. Joseph-Ogden has already played their next match (against St. Teresa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Monticello wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-30 win against Rantoul on the 27th.
