Soccer Game Preview: Perry vs. Salpointe Catholic + How To Watch

The Perry Pumas will venture away from home to challenge the Salpointe Catholic Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Perry took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Red Mountain, sneaking past 2-1. Perry haven't had any issues with Red Mountain recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Salpointe Catholic's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Sunnyside by a score of 1-0. The loss put an end to Salpointe Catholic's undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Salpointe Catholic fell to 3-1. As for Perry, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Perry was able to grind out a solid win over Salpointe Catholic when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pumas since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
