Basketball Recap: Schurr Comes Up Short

Schurr was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 72-60 to the West Valley Mustangs.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Malachi Black, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 15 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Stone, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 21 points.

Schurr's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for West Valley, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Schurr didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 66-49 loss against Grand Terrace on the 28th. As for West Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-49 defeat against Viewpoint on the 28th.
