Independence put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand the Woodgrove Wolverines a 5-0 shutout. Lilli Lubic was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Independence pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those three matches. As for Woodgrove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Independence will host Mountain View at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodgrove, they will head out to face off against Stone Bridge at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
