Soccer Game Preview: Cary vs. Southeast Raleigh

The Cary Imps will head out on the road to take on the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cary's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Cary fell victim to Apex and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 5-0.

Meanwhile, Southeast Raleigh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to Corinth Holders. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly nine goals.

Cary's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Southeast Raleigh, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Cary took their victory against Southeast Raleigh in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 9-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cary since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
