Soccer Game Preview: Canutillo vs. Chapin

The Canutillo Eagles will square off against the Chapin Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Canutillo's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Canutillo fell victim to Burges and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 596th, while the Mustangs are ranked 147th).

Meanwhile, Chapin kept a clean sheet against Jefferson on Friday. They blew past the Silver Foxes 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Silver Foxes: they've now won four in a row.

Chapin's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Canutillo, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
