Football Game Preview: Green Canyon Wolves vs. Ridgeline Riverhawks

The Green Canyon Wolves will head out to take on the Ridgeline Riverhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Green Canyon's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Tooele, posting a 28-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

The critical scores for Green Canyon came from Cody Edelmayer, Micah Jenkins, Jaxon Calderwood, and Huston Paremski.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Ridgeline on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Stansbury out of the water with a 40-6 final score. Given the Riverhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Stallions are ranked 36th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Ridgeline's defense and their six sacks. In that department, Krew Jones was the leader with two. Hunter Knighton got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Ridgeline's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Green Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Things could have been worse for Green Canyon, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 39-21 loss to Ridgeline in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
