Jay County never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Bluffton Tigers as they made off with a 12-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Zoe Mclaughlin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Hallie Schwieterman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Brenna Ruble was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
