Softball Recap: Jeffers Find Success

Jeffers won against Ontonagon on Tuesday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Jets walked away with a 13-10 victory over the Gwinn Modeltowners. While the Jets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-3), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The win made it two in a row for Jeffers and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Gwinn, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jeffers will take on Houghton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gwinn, they will face off against Ishpeming at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
