Softball Recap: Choctawhatchee Comes Up Short

Choctawhatchee fell victim to Fort Walton Beach and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 back in February.

This is the second loss in a row for Choctawhatchee and nudges their season record down to 3-17. As for Fort Walton Beach, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season.

Choctawhatchee will venture away from home to face off against Tate at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fort Walton Beach, they will take on Gulf Breeze at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dolphins' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
