Fairview never let their opponents score on Monday. They came out on top against the Girard Yellowjackets by a score of 4-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Tyler Benford was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Benford wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Stevens, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Fairview has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Girard, they moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fairview is set to challenge their familiar foe Northwestern at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Girard will square off against rival Corry at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
