Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Gull Lake walked away with it. They blew past the Hopkins Vikings 10-2 on Wednesday. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

The win (which was Gull Lake's third in a row) raised their record to 24-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hopkins, they moved to 28-8 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Gull Lake will challenge Three Rivers on Saturday. Hopkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
