Soccer Recap: Grinnell Comes Up Short

Grinnell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Independence Mustangs, falling 5-0. That's two games in a row now that Grinnell have lost by exactly five goals.

Grinnell's loss dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Independence, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1-1.

Grinnell didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-2 draw against Benton on the 21st. As for Independence, they have also already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Solon on the 21st.
