Moon Area hadn't done well against Bethel Park recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Black Hawks, sneaking past 5-4. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 win the Black Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Tyler Ebner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Moon Area's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Savario Vandetti, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another was Owen Amey, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Moon Area is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bethel Park, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.

Moon Area will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Black Hawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
