Basketball Game Preview: Yantis Owls vs. North Hopkins Panthers

The Yantis Owls will take on the North Hopkins Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Yantis against Pioneer Tech & Arts Academy as the team secured a 71-40 victory. The Owls have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, North Hopkins had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They breezed by Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy to the tune of 56-29.

North Hopkins has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points per game. As for Yantis, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 21-10.
