Basketball Recap: Dorchester Takes a Loss

Dorchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the College View Academy Eagles, falling 56-32. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Longhorns of the 43-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Dorchester lost, don't look at Chase Tachovsky. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Tachovsky also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023.

Dorchester's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for College View Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dorchester will face off against Nebraska Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for College View Academy, they will take on Parkview Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Parkview Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something College View Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
