Softball Game Preview: Valley Cavaliers vs. Buckfield Bucks

Valley is 1-9 against Buckfield since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cavaliers will look to defend their home field against the Bucks at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in Valley's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.

On Friday, Valley got the win against Wiscasset by a conclusive 25-3. Fans of the Cavaliers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Meanwhile, Buckfield had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Leavitt by a score of 4-3 on Thursday.

Buckfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Harvey, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Valley's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Buckfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
