Fans were treated to a battle of the Mustangs on Friday. Jay walked away with a 2-0 win over Jefferson. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on August 12th.

Mikayla Garcia paced Jay's offense, picking up six kills. Garcia got some help from Alyssa Reyes and her 16 assists. Finally, Taniayah Watson kept Jay's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Jay has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Jefferson, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Jay has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Burbank on the 29th. As for Jefferson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Southwest on the 29th.
