Baseball Recap: Covington Trojans vs. North Vermillion Falcons
Covington barely beat North Vermillion the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 14-8 margin over the Falcons on Wednesday. The Trojans not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 1st (when they won 15-5).
Nash Martin made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Martin was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Cian Moore was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Covington: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Asbury, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Covington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Covington's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-9. As for North Vermillion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.
