Basketball Game Preview: Woodville-Tompkins Wolverines vs. Glynn Academy Terrors

The Woodville-Tompkins Wolverines will venture away from home to face off against the Glynn Academy Terrors at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Woodville-Tompkins is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Beach just ended the team's three-game winning streak last Saturday. They fell 52-42 to the Bulldogs. The match marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Glynn Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Windsor Forest, falling 70-45. While losing is never fun, the Terrors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while the Knights are ranked 50th).

Woodville-Tompkins' defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Glynn Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Woodville-Tompkins didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Glynn Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 43-37 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodville-Tompkins since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
