West Stanly is a perfect 10-0 against Anson since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Colts will square off against the Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. West Stanly will be strutting in after a victory while Anson will be coming in after a defeat.

West Stanly's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Forest Hills as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Anson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against Monroe, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Anson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 596th, while Monroe are ranked 228th).

West Stanly is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those six contests. As for Anson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Everything went West Stanly's way against Anson in their previous matchup back in September, as West Stanly made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
