Baseball Recap: Southeast Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Southeast kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marlington Dukes. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Dukes recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

The win was the third in a row for Marlington, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Southeast will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Mathews at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Marlington, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Norton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
