Softball Recap: East Henderson Eagles vs. Hendersonville Bearcats

East Henderson had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-15 to make it four. They came up short against the Hendersonville Bearcats, falling 20-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-2 back in March.

Makadyn Howard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Malea Bailey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Hendersonville, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-9 record. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Hendersonville's side, they got a massive performance out of Anna McFarling, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI McFarling has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Phoebe Kate Rector, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.

East Henderson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-6 victory against North Henderson on the 17th. As for Hendersonville, they have also already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against West Henderson on the 17th.
