Recap: Shea Raiders vs. East Greenwich Avengers
This season hasn't been kind to The Shea Raiders, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They suffered a rough 26-0 loss at the hands of East Greenwich on Thursday. Shea was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Greenwich apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2016.
Among those leading the charge was Roman Prosseda, who rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Shea's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 5.5 points per game. As for East Greenwich, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shea will take on East Providence at 6:00 p.m. on November 10th. As for East Greenwich, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cranston East at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (Cranston East is ranked 28th, while East Greenwich is ranked 29th).
