Soccer Game Preview: Inter-City Baptist vs. Plymouth Christian Academy

The Inter-City Baptist Chargers will head out on the road to challenge the Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Inter-City Baptist will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

Inter-City Baptist barely beat Southfield Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for Inter-City Baptist, who have now won nine games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Plymouth Christian Academy came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Cougars.

Inter-City Baptist's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those six contests. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-4-2.

Inter-City Baptist suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Plymouth Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
