Mountain Valley recap September 10, 2013

Omari Montgomery of Citrus Valley ran for the longest rushing play in Mountain Valley this season against Beaumont last week. Montgomery scampered for 53 yards on the play and finished with 162 on the day as his team bested the Cougars.

Citrus Valley moved up to 340 from 499 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Pete Smolin's team was able to make move up by beating Beaumont 30-17.

Notre Dame's dynamic duo of Paul Bradvica and Anthony McMaster proved to be unstoppable against Linfield Christian, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Bradvica threw for 243 yards and McMaster had 166 yards receiving.

The Titans' dynamic duo of Bradvica and McMaster proved tough for the Lions to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

McMaster was the best receiver in the league this week as Notre Dame lost to Linfield Christian.

Montgomery was the best running back in Mountain Valley this week. Teammate Lance Douglas added to the ground attack by rushing for 42 yards.

Bradvica put up the best numbers in passing as Peter Mc Gowan's team lost to DeChon Burns' team.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Titans' Bradvica and McMaster have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-10 quarterback Bradvica has thrown for 624 yards this season, while McMaster has 14 catches for 316 yards. The Blackhawks' Montgomery leads the league in rushing yards with 277.

Banning lost to Cathedral City 63-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
