Lampeter-Strasburg and Shaler Area squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Lampeter-Strasburg had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 2-0. The Pioneers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Lampeter-Strasburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Scranton, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Lampeter-Strasburg's defeat dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Shaler Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
