Basketball Recap: Rockwell Falls to American Leadership Academy in First Game of Season

Rockwell had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against the American Leadership Academy Eagles, falling 76-34. The Marshals lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 75-54 score last time.

Despite the loss, Rockwell still got an impressive performance from Ethan Kearl, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Christiansen, who scored eight points.

Cooper Crockett went supernova For American Leadership Academy., dropping a double-double with 30 points and 16 boards. Jakobe Ross was another key player, putting up 13 points and eight assists.

Looking ahead, Rockwell will welcome North Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for American Leadership Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Orem at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
